Life's not fair......

Life is NOT fair, it is not suppose to be, it never has been and it never will be but it is still better than the alternative! Bad things happen to good people sometimes. Rather than feeling sorry for yourself, appreciate the good in life, be grateful for the blessings and focus on bringing positive experiences to yourself. Focus on what you can give to the world and never worry about what you didn't receive. Life was never suppose to be fair, don't set yourself up for disappointment by believing such universal untruths. Change your thoughts and change you life and Live Inspired Now!

I met with a client this week who was stuck with the doldrums. My advice to her: GET OUT AND DO SOMETHING EXCITING! People, if you want to enjoy life and live with passion, get the hell out of the box and LIVE!!! In fact, once you get out of the box, BURN THE BOX so you can never go back in it! Your house is a box, your car is a box, your TV is a box, you frequently eat food out of a box... get out of the box! Go out today and live with passion; take a vigorous hike, make love in the woods, do something out of the ordinary and reignite your passion and Live Inspired Now!

Today... NOTHING will bother me!

I saw this picture on facebook today and it really INSPIRED me! Today is the day I REFUSE to participate in stress and the day I refuse to give a fuck about pretty much anything! I will be completely detached today, completely at peace and completely unwilling to care about things out of my immediate control. After a challenging week (yes, EVEN I have those) I am grateful for the reminder that I do not have to participate in other peoples drama or chaos and I can choose to detach from it. So today, take a day off from other peoples drama or chaos and Live Inspired Now!

How do you see yourself???

No matter how crazy the world gets and what other people think of you, see yourself the way you want to be! Your opinion of you is the ONLY one you have to live with. So today, create your day the way you want it, be spectacular, rise above circumstance, be who you truly are, live present in the moment, disregard opinions that don't nourish you and Live Inspired Now!

Be open.......

So often we are presented with opportunities to do or try something new but many people just say no. Life is full of rich experiences; don't miss out on them! I believe that life really does begin just outside of our comfort zone. Integrity vs. Personality

This is such a relevant topic in today's world. Personality is so often mistaken for integrity. Just because a person is friendly or charming or has charisma, does not mean they are living with integrity. It is important to value integrity over personality. I personally know someone who is typically grumpy and not very easy to talk to however, I know that person is extremely reliable and would give the shirt off of his back for anyone at any time! I value integrity so much, people with integrity will always be honest and respectful. A person who's best quality is personality will talk badly about you behind your back and will look out for their own best interests.... no matter how fun they might be. So today, think about someone you might have discounted because they don't have an outgoing personality, are they someone you should value more? Where do YOU stand in this? Are you living with integrity? You CAN have both integrity and personality, so today think about how to improve both areas and Live Inspired Now!

Inspire Moore

Inspire Moore is a winery located in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of Upstate NY. I had the pleasure of speaking with Tim Moore, co-owner of the winery with his wife Diane. I loved the name, the bottles and the message so I thought it would be nice to speak with them and share some of their inspiration.
The winery was a mutual dream of both husband and wife and on 7/7/2007 they opened their doors as a family winery with their 5 children. Tim credits the name "Inspired Moore" to his creative wife Diane whom he describes as a talented writer. The family business focuses on sustainability by using eco-friendly bottles and growing practices, recycling and composting.
They feature Inspired wines such as Inspired Moore: Love, Gratitude, Peace, Joy, Radiance, Harmony and Grace. The beautiful labels are screen printed directly onto the glass and they all have an inspirational quote. The Inspire Moore Love bottle reads "Let yourself be silently drawn by the stronger pull of what you truly love" by Rumi.
The passion is evident in Tim's voice as he describes his family dream that has become a reality, stating proudly that he "fell in love with the Finger Lakes" after several work related visits.

There are 3 types of relationships, which category do you fit in?

Snow Knee Boarding

We are having SO much fun in the snow! Today, try knee boarding or snow boarding! You can go down a hill but having someone pull you on the back of a 4 wheeler is SUPER fun! The video above shows Thad pulling my 17 year old Madison, we all tried it, it was awesome! So today, put on the snow pants, grab a knee board and Live Inspired Now!

Is it time to have words with friends???

OK, so last year I was addicted to Angry Birds for a little while but this year is all about "Words with Friends!" This game is so cool because you can play from your cell against friends all over the world! I currently have 4 different games going with friends all over the country! It is just like scrabble only easier because the app calculates the points for you and will reject "made up" words! ( I am guilty of making up words. lol ) You get a notification when the other player makes his move and the game can go on for days! I love this app! So today, play Words with Friends and Live Inspired Now!
PS... Mom, I know you have no idea what an App is or how to play a game on your phone, so today, just engage in a game of scrabble with a friend! Love ya! :)

Leave change...

For some people a few coins makes a huge difference! It might be the few extra pennies they needed to buy bread for their children, or a cup of coffee to keep them warm. Today, be a change fairy and leave some extra change wherever you go. You could leave it on the counter in the store, place it on someones car or just set it on the ground where someone will find it. You just never know who you might be helping or how you might be impacting someones life. Yes, that change might even be picked up by someone who doesn't need it, but they just might pay it forward to someone who does. No GOOD deed is ever done in vain, so today, leave your change and Live Inspired Now!

Don't be BORING!

My kids know not to say "I'm bored." If they do, I will give them plenty to do... chores, homework, yard work etc. I don't believe in boredom, I believe in boring people! In an entire Universe full of wonder, excitement and infinite possibilities there is never ever a reason for someone to be bored. Find something to do, read, play, talk about, learn or imagine! I could be completely entertained with just my own thoughts and imagination! Also, do not entertain your kids because they are bored. Allow them to develop an imagination of their own by forcing them to entertain themselves. So today, make a commitment to never ever be "bored" and Live Inspired Now!

Collect Rocks

This is my rock collection! I have this printers drawer hanging on my wall like a shadow box full of my stones but I also place them strategically around the house. I love rocks because we can collect them anywhere we go, its like a free souvenir! The kids love to bring me rocks, some they have even painted! I know that stones also have healing properties though I admit I have no idea what they are, but you can get books and do research online. I do know that placing amethyst near electronics is supposed to protect you from their energy. So today, find a cool looking rock and start a collection and Live Inspired Now.

Create lasting memories!

Creating lasting memories is fun and leaves our kids, friends and family with something that will last a lifetime or even longer! I share stories with my kids about the fun things I used to do with my grandmother, the memories have outlived my grandma and that is a million times better than any toy she could have given me. So for my kids birthdays, I always take them out for some sort of an event. We have gone to plays, shows, concerts, trips, spa days and this year we even took a flying lesson in a private plane! My kids LOVE creating these memories with me and never wish for some plastic toy instead. We have so much fun! So today, create a lasting memory, or plan one for an upcoming special day and Live Inspired Now!

Go for a hike!

Oh the weather here in Upstate NY has been unseasonably warm and mild. It has been perfect hiking weather! So today, grab some granola, pick a nice spot and take a hike in the woods. Thad and I are going to hike to the top of a huge hill, then I am going to meditate for about 30 minutes while he goes on a trail run, then we will hike back down. FUN! Listen to YOU!

Oh my goodness... how many times have you disregarded your "little voice" that tells you to do or not to do something? We have all done this but it is time to start listening! I hear people say "I know I should/shouldn't but...." STOP IT! If you know you are in the wrong relationship, job, place, or life; listen to your inner voice and move on! Why do people choose to suffer? Don't live in fear of change or loss, life is growth and without it we are dying. Today, listen to YOU, your voice, your heart, your mind, your intuition, make decisions or change based on YOU and Live Inspired Now!

Start a group!

Think about what you love to do and find a local group of people that you can get together with. I am going to be starting a local business women's group! We will meet weekly or bi-weekly and network with one another and support each others success! You can find people through facebook, hanging flyers in your community, or there is a website called meetup.com that can help you get started (there is a fee at meetup.)
Maybe you are a crafter and could have a monthly craft night, or a single parent who wants to support other single parents... whatever you niche, start a group today, have fun, get to know like minded people and Live Inspired Now!

Fear is a liar!

Fear is a big fat liar... don't let it hold you back from anything! Life becomes more fulfilling when you step outside of your comfort zone. Fear will tell you that you are not good enough, that you will get hurt, that you could lose everything, that no one will like you... DON'T LISTEN! Don't make decisions based in fear, don't turn down opportunities because of fear of failure, don't turn away from love because you are afraid to be hurt. Hurt, pain and failure are all part of life and while we DO experience these things sometimes, the good, the love, the pleasure vastly outweighs the pain. We were created to love and be happy, so today, say YES to something you are afraid of, kick fears ASS and Live Inspired Now!
