Hard work!
"Hard work spotlights the character of people: some turn up their sleeves, some turn up their noses, and some don't turn up at all." Which of these are you? Do not be afraid of working hard, it feels great to work and accomplish things. Those of us self employed people have to work twice as hard to make our businesses grow and flourish but in the end it is worth it because we get to realize our dreams! "All those so called secrets of success will not work unless you do!" So today, work hard to attain your goals, picture yourself in the end of that hard work reaping the benefits and Live An Inspired Life!

What's your worth??
If you are not being treated with love & respect, check your "price tag". Perhaps you have marked yourself down. It's YOU who tell people what you're worth by what you accept. Get off of the "clearance rack" & get behind the glass where they keep all the "valuables!" The bottom line is, VALUE yourself more and Live An Inspired Life!

Use your manners PLEASE!!!
Manners are the unenforced standards of conduct which demonstrate that you are polite, proper and are being respectful of those around you. I love good manners! I try very hard to maintain manners and civility and to teach my children to do the same! Nobody likes to hear gross noises at the dinner table, and nobody likes to be disrespected or treated rudely. If you were not taught manners or etiquette, google it, there are millions of sites and books dedicated to teaching you how to be polite! So today.... say please and thank you, don't chew with your mouth open, always greet your hostess and Live An Inspired Life!

Fireflies!
Last night my husband Thad and I went out on date night. We had dinner and did some shopping but after it got dark enough, we went to our favorite spot to watch the thousands and thousands of fireflies! Interestingly enough, fireflies light up to attract a mate.
We brought a blanket and laid in the field and watched the show that the fireflies put on! It was most romantic and so peaceful! So tonight, grab your sweetie, don't forget the blanket, find a field and watch the fireflies and Live An Inspired Life!

Ignore rude comments!
Sometimes, even in an Inspired Life, you still come across negative people that will have nothing nice to say. Part of living an amazing and inspired life is having the ability to ignore the negative and not participate in drama. Ignore the rude comments that might come your way and Live An Inspired Life!

Everything in moderation.....
Yum... chocolate! I am craving chocolate today hence the chocolate post! So you can totally have chocolate and other junk foods in moderation. I would not suggest eating too much but it is great to enjoy a sweet treat now and then. Today a co-worker is kind enough to run out and get me some chocolate and I am just delighted! Chocolate even has some health benefits, it has antioxidants that prevent aging, flavonoids that relax blood pressure and chocolate even helps balance certain hormones in the body. So today, grab some chocolate and Live An Inspired Life!

Teach them to learn....
One of the best things I ever learned as a parent was to teach my kids to "teach themselves!" My son Harry is a self taught artist and his work is currently on display for the month of June at our local Starbucks store here in Ithaca, NY (as pictured above.) As a proud mom I have been reflecting on how he got to be so talented, how all of my kids developed such skills and abilities. As it happens... I am a GOOD MOM! I have always told my kids that if they are truly passionate about learning something then they will find the way. With books, YouTube, google and countless other resources online, anyone can learn anything! I have always told them, if you are truly passionate and teach yourself to do something, THEN I will get you lessons or further instruction, but first prove to me that you are willing to put in the work. This process has been very successful for us. My son Harry taught himself to be an artist, my daughter Carrie was a budding Geologist for a while and can tell you about almost every kind of rock and my daughter Madison took up photography and guitar. Allowing kids to teach themselves is a valuable skill and will help them to Live Inspired Lives!
